To improve the ECART user experience, the system can now automatically apply default taxes during checkout (if configured). This speeds up the ordering process for ECART users and reduces the need for manual verification.
How to set up default tax for ECART customer?
Step 1:
Go to the Customer module, open B2B Ecommerce, and select the customer you want to configure.
Step 2: Set default tax & currency
In the INFO tab, click Edit.
Select the default tax for the customer.
Set the default currency as needed.
Click Save once you done.
Step 3:
Open the B2B Purchasing App tab, and click Edit.
In the Tax option, choose one of the following:
Inclusive: Tax is already included in the unit price.
Exclusive: Tax will be added into the total amount based on the the unit price.
No Tax: No tax will be applied.
Click Save once you done.
When the customer checks out their cart, the configured tax will now be automatically applied to the order. Below are examples with tax inclusive and tax exclusive.
