Where to find it: Products → Label Printing
Label Printing is part of EMERGE's Barcode Generator & Label Printing feature, available on Gold Feature plan.
Before you print
Every product you want a label for needs a barcode assigned — labels can't be generated without one.
To print QR Code (GS1 Digital Link) labels, your GS1 resolver domain and identifier type must first be configured in Settings → QR Code Generator.
To print Serial Number & Barcode labels, the product needs serial number tracking turned on, with at least one serial number recorded.
How to print a label
Go to Products → Label Printing.
Choose a layout:
1 Label — one label per page.
44 Labels on A4 — a full sheet of 44 labels, useful for bulk print runs.
Choose a label size:
5 x 2.5cm / 1.97 x 0.98in — supports every template.
10 x 4.8cm / 3.94 x 1.89in — currently only available with the Barcode 2 template. Selecting this size with any other template shows an error that the size isn't supported.
Select a template from the dropdown (see the full list of templates below).
Add items — search for a product in the Item field and press Enter, or pick from the list. You can add multiple items to print several labels in one batch.
Using the Barcode 1 template? Turn on Show Batch Expiry Date to also print batch and expiry information:
A Batch dropdown appears if the first item you added is batch-tracked.
Choosing a batch fills in Expiry Date automatically — you can adjust it manually if needed.
This option only appears on the Barcode 1 template.
Using the Serial Number & Barcode template? The Item field is replaced with a picker for serial-tracked products:
Auto-select Serial Number is on by default and pulls in all serial numbers for the products you add.
Turn it off to manually choose which serial numbers to print.
Click Preview to see how the labels will look.
Print from your browser's print dialog, or save the preview as a PDF.
Good to know
Batch & expiry only print for the first item. If you select several products with batch/expiry turned on, only the first item in your selection will show batch and expiry details.
You can't combine serial numbers and batch/expiry on the same label. Use Barcode 1 for batch/expiry, or Serial Number & Barcode for serial numbers — not both.
The larger label size is limited to Barcode 2. If you need the 10 x 4.8cm size, switch to the Barcode 2 template first.
If a product has no barcode, or (for QR templates) no valid GS1 identifier value, it's excluded from the print job and a warning is shown.
Label templates
Template | What it prints |
Barcode 1 | Company logo, product name, and barcode. Optionally add batch number and expiry date. |
Barcode 2 | Barcode, SKU, and product name. The only template that supports the larger 10 x 4.8cm label size. |
Serial Number & Barcode | The product's barcode plus its serial number, printed as text alongside it. Requires serial number tracking to be enabled on the product. |
QR Code (GS1 Digital Link) | A GS1-compliant QR code built from your configured resolver domain and the product's GS1 identifier (GTIN, GDTI, or GMN). |
