What is a sales breakdown report?
A Sales Breakdown Report shows detailed information about your sales, including order data, customer details, sales amount, cost, and profit. It helps you understand how your sales are performing and where your profits come from.
In EMERGE, a sales order breakdown report includes:
Order information (date, number, quotation, customer PO)
Customer and customer group
Shipment and payment status
Product details and quantities
Sales and tax amount
COGS (Cost of Goods Sold)
Profit margin and gross profit
Assigned sales representative
It ties together: how much you sold (Sales + Tax), what it cost you (COGS), and what you earned (Gross Profit & Margin)
How to Generate a Sales Breakdown Report in EMERGE
Step 1: Go to the Report module and open Sales Breakdown Report under the Sales dropdown list.
Step 2: Select the date range for the data you want to generate.
Step 3: Adjust the report settings, such as:
Choose specific customer groups
Decide whether the profit margin should include or exclude tax
Select if you want to display additional charges and taxes
Step 4: Click View Excel to download the report file.
