1. What is tracking categories in XERO?
Tracking categories in Xero allow you to segment and analyze your business's financial data by different areas such as departments, locations, or projects. This helps you gain deeper insights and make informed decisions based on detailed reports.
EMERGE will determine the mapping category based on the invoice kind.
For example, an invoice kind 'Boat 001' will be mapped to Xero's category 'Boat 001'. When exporting an invoice of this kind to Xero, all item lines will be assigned to the 'Boat 001' category.
2. How to map EMERGE's Invoice Kind to XERO's Tracking Categories?
Go to XERO, tab Tracking Categories Mapping
Click button IMPORT to get latest tracking categories list from XERO
Select the XERO category in the right column. EMERGE invoices with the specified kind will be assigned to the corresponding XERO mapped category
