How to Enable Customer Alternative Names function?
This feature is disabled by default. If you need it, you can turn it on in the Company Settings.
In App Settings, scroll down to the bottom of the page and enable the 'Customer: Alternative Names' option.
Don’t forget to click SAVE at the top to apply your changes.
How to set up Alternative Names for customer?
In the Customer module, you can either create a new customer and add their alternative name, or edit an existing customer to update their alternative name.
How to use Customer's Alternative Names in my workflow?
Once a customer has an alternative name set, you can select that alternative name when performing actions like creating Quotations, Sales Orders, Purchase Orders, Delivery Orders, etc.
After selecting the alternative name, you can proceed with the rest of the process as usual.
Note:
You can also add a new alternative name directly while creating these documents.
Alternative names are NOT applied to Credit Notes and Debit Notes.
